You turn around.

Well, sometimes.

There is something slightly old-fashioned, lighthearted and very Parisian about JOLIE MADEMOISELLE.

Pretty Miss.

It sounds a little like a line that escaped from an old movie.

A figure walking past. Perhaps a hat. A café terrace.

Although the hat is entirely optional.

I had photographed JOLIE somewhere in Paris.

MADEMOISELLE was somewhere else.

Then I brought them together.

And suddenly, they weren't simply two words anymore.

They were a compliment.

Words Have Little Lives of Their Own

When I walk through Paris, I photograph many things people no longer necessarily notice. Storefronts. Old signs. Letters painted on walls.

Typography that might be elegant, awkward, serious or completely fanciful. All these words enter my collection.

I don't always know what they will become. That's precisely what I like about them.

They wait.

Then one day, two of them catch each other's eye.

JOLIE MADEMOISELLE.

At that point, there isn't much left for me to do.

I simply let them stay together.

A Compliment on Your Keys

The words were photographed in Paris, the composition was created through my image work, and the keychain itself is made in Paris.

It accompanies a set of keys but can also be attached to a bag or pouch.

A useful little accessory that happens to slip a few kind words into the day at the same time.

And kind words really don't take up much room.

Who Is It For?

A daughter. A sister. A friend. A sweetheart.

Someone moving far away with a little piece of Paris in her luggage.

Or simply yourself.

Because compliments are lovely when someone gives them to you.

But there is no rule against helping yourself.
