All I Did Was Introduce Them

HOMME already existed. So did RÂLEUR.

I had photographed them separately in the streets of Paris, among all the letters, signs and inscriptions I collect with my camera.

Each was happily living its own little typographic life.

Then one day, while looking through my photographic alphabet, I brought them together.

Some combinations take a great deal of work.

This one, strangely enough, seemed obvious immediately.

All I did was introduce them.

I therefore accept absolutely no responsibility for what happened next.
