Gentleman Acrobate Keychain

A Curious Gentleman

He holds the door open.

He lets others go first.

He says good morning to the baker.

He may even know how to tie a proper tie.

And then suddenly, he leaps over a puddle, runs after a bus, takes the stairs four steps at a time, or attempts to hold an umbrella, his phone and three bags with only two hands.

It's the GENTLEMAN ACROBATE.

GENTLEMAN and ACROBATE didn't originally live together at all. I encountered them separately while wandering through Paris with my camera.

Then one day, back at my computer, I made the introductions. They got along immediately.

Paris, a City for Acrobatics

I walk a great deal through Paris with my camera. I look at signs, old shops, façades, inscriptions and all those letters hiding throughout the city. I photograph them one by one, word after word.

Over time, they have become my photographic alphabet. It is a rather undisciplined alphabet, where words are perfectly free to leave their original sentences and meet someone new.

And that is how a perfectly respectable gentleman suddenly became an acrobat. Paris occasionally arranges curious encounters.

Elegance on Your Keys

The Gentleman Acrobate keychain is made in Paris, in the same city where its words were photographed and where I brought them together.

It can accompany house keys, office keys, bicycle keys or anything else that happens to require a key. It can also be attached to a bag or pouch.

It is useful.

But above all, it has that little extra something I like to put into my objects: a story and a smile.

Which Gentleman Is It For?

An elegant man.

A father performing daily balancing acts.

A cyclist in a suit.

A friend who escapes impossible situations with remarkable grace.

A sweetheart who almost always lands on his feet.

Or a gentleman who has not yet realized he is an acrobat. He'll find out eventually.
