You Have a Rendez-vous

With whom?

INCONNU.

Unknown.

What time?

We’ll see.

Where?

Somewhere.

This is starting rather well.

I had photographed RENDEZ-VOUS on one side and INCONNU on the other. Two words quietly living their separate lives on a façade, a sign, a little fragment of Paris.

They had never met.

I introduced them.

And suddenly, there was a story.

Not a very precise one.

Fortunately.

Leave a Little Empty Space

I photograph a lot while walking. Words, letters, signs, traces. I keep them without always knowing what they will become.

I like letting them wait.

I also like letting them keep a little mystery.

Not everything needs to be explained.

Not everything needs to be planned.

Rendez-vous Inconnu leaves the door open.

The keychain is made in Paris, where the words were found and brought together. It accompanies your keys, can be attached to a bag or pouch, and slips a small invitation to step outside the plan into everyday life.

Give it to a curious friend. Someone who enjoys spontaneous departures. Someone who says yes before asking where. Someone who prefers detours. Someone who believes chance occasionally gets things exactly right.

Or yourself.

Take your keys.

Go downstairs.

Turn right.

Or left.

It doesn’t matter.
