CAPRICE was passing by. REINE wasn't far away. I introduced them without consulting royal protocol.
An original keychain with just the right amount of royalty, designed and made in Paris for those who embrace their desires, changes of mind and occasional little whims.
Her Majesty Has Decided
Today, it's yes. Actually, no. Or perhaps.
CAPRICE DE REINE. A Queen's Whim. That settles the matter.
I photographed these words while walking through Paris. Signs, façades, storefronts: I collect letters the way other people collect stamps. Then I put them together.
CAPRICE had character. REINE did too.
Their meeting was inevitable.
A Little Parisian Whim
Once the introductions were made, all that remained was to turn their encounter into an object. The Caprice de Reine keychain is made in Paris, in the very city where its words were photographed. Attached to keys, a bag or a pouch, it makes its intentions perfectly clear.
A little gift for a queen — genuine or self-appointed — who knows exactly what she wants. Almost.
Because a queen has every right to change her mind.
