The name alone makes you want to step inside.

From the street, the storefront is dark and almost discreet. Fine golden lines, two windows, glowing lamps and a sign that already seems to be telling a story.

But never trust the apparent calm of a stationery shop.

Lift the flap.

Suddenly, the pencils start dancing.

Notebooks, cards, papers, boxes, pencils, brushes, inks and illustrated objects fill the image with details and colours. You hardly know where to look first.

That is exactly why I love photographing shops like this.

They are tiny worlds.

You walk in for a pencil and sometimes leave with a notebook, three cards, a box you absolutely did not need and an urgent desire to start writing by hand again.

Closed, the pouch keeps the mystery of the storefront. Open it and the wonderfully abundant world of Mélodies Graphiques appears.

At 19.5 × 19.5 cm, it can hold pencils, a notebook, drawing supplies, cables, chargers, make-up and all sorts of small everyday essentials.

The original photographs are printed on recycled polyester fabric, and the pouch is made in France in small batches.
