This Wasn’t Planned

We were just going to have coffee.

Definitely not fall in love.

And then...

AMOUR IMPROMPTU.

Unexpected Love.

The day’s schedule has changed slightly.

AMOUR and IMPROMPTU did not begin together. I had photographed them separately in Paris while walking through the city, among façades, signs and words gathered along the way.

Each had its own story.

Then I brought them closer.

I had planned nothing.

Neither had they.

Perfect.

Words Have Surprises Too

That is what I like about the photographic alphabet I have built over the years: words arrive from different places without knowing who they will eventually meet.

I let them wait.

I move them around.

I make the introductions.

Sometimes nothing happens.

Sometimes everything happens very quickly.

Amour Impromptu, for example.

I didn't interfere.

What happens next is none of my business.

A Little Love on Your Keys

The Amour Impromptu keychain is made in Paris, where its words were photographed, rediscovered and brought together.
