Aware of environmental issues since my childhood, my choices are ecological, humane and sustainable. So from creation to shipping, from France to Japan, the little pixie respects those around him and spreads smiles. At Maron Bouillie, the ideas are fresh, the vegetables are from the garden, and the fabric is recycled!
Seasonal creation - I create useful and reusable items promoting a zero waste lifestyle. So, do your shopping with eco-responsible bags printed in market colors! Or, use bulk bags in the image of your sweet tooth as a shopping list!
Fabrication locale en France - Depuis la naissance de la marque en 2003, les produits sont fabriqués en France. Ils sont entièrement réalisés en petites séries entre la région Rhône-Alpes et les Hauts de France.
Locally manufactured in Japan - Japanese women are fans of the brand and the little pixie doesn't like taking planes. So with Seiichi, my slant-eyed partner, we set up a production in the land of the rising sun. So items sold in Japan are made in Japan.
Solidarity - These are work-based help workshops that carefully sew my creations. But also, workers like you and me who behind a computer wave their magic fingers to ensure that the bags are of quality. Then with or without a cap, mustaches and bearded men who, at the wheel of a van, take care of the precious packages so that they arrive safely!
Recycled and organic materials - I use sustaianble materials. The products are printed on recycled polyester (plastic bottle). Their lining is organic cotton. Packaging is kept to a minimum with only recycled paper and cardboard.
On a human scale - And you guessed it, Maron Bouillie is a very small company since I am all alone from the creation to the shipping of the products. It’s true that there are quite a few little elves in my head! But I drink water sensibly, and take advantage of the sun to recharge my batteries!

Recycled and natural materials
There is no 100% ecological material. Polyester is a synthetic fiber, made from petroleum. Cotton is not grown in France and little in Europe. Linen is very expensive and there are no longer any spinning mills in France. Hemp gets a bad rap! The nettle is a utopia for the moment... But there are researchers who are looking and industrialists who are innovating so it is promising. In the meantime, I have chosen to use mainly recycled polyester because:
- The digital printing process is “simpler” than on natural materials, fewer steps and therefore less energy.
- The strength of the fabric and the color fastness are long-lasting.
- The cost is affordable.
- This makes it possible to produce eco-responsible bags entirely made in France.
Recycled Polyester
Main material of the products.
Polyester is a synthetic textile fiber. It is obtained chemically by polymerization on hydrocarbons. The polyester used in the textile industry is PET (polyethylene terephthalate). It’s the same polymer that makes up our plastic bottles. Recycled polyester is therefore made mainly from the recycling of these bottles. The most widely used process is mechanical recycling. After being collected, the PET objects are crushed, then melted and reintroduced into the fiber manufacturing process. There is a GLOBAL RECYCLED STANDARD certification which guarantees this recycling. This recycled material helps reduce waste and gives a second life to a material that would otherwise be sent to landfill. This avoids drawing new raw material resources. The energy consumption to produce this recycled polyester is reduced by half compared to the production of “new” polyester.
However, this material remains a derivative of plastic, responsible in particular for ocean pollution. It is therefore important to recycle it. Don't throw away your used textiles!
Organic Cotton GOTS
Material used for the lining of products when there is one.
It takes 10,000 liters of water to produce 1 kg of cotton! Cotton cultivation represents 25% of the pesticides and herbicides discharged for 2.5% of the planet's cultivated areas. It is therefore essential to use GOTS certified organic cotton. This guarantees: chemical-free, socially responsible and traceable cotton. However, water consumption remains high and its cultivation is not local.
Paper - Cardboard
To follow my “zero waste” practice, the products have no packaging. They are packaged if necessary in paper at the time of purchase and shipped in a recovery envelope or cardboard box. And to close everything, I use paper adhesive.
